It has many levels for me and this critique is a personal response to the composition and subject matter. The technical principle I understand and has been extremely well executed.
The result is a drama of contrasts, both tonal and atmospheric. The depth and intensity of the shadow tones allow a beautiful "slow reveal" of the footprints in the snow and point accents on the rock to the right.
The glow of the yellow tent intensifies the longer you look at it due to the complimentary after image colour of the blue violet in the surrounding snow "bleeding" back up into the structure.
The immense scale of the distant mountians and associated cloud structures comes through really well - and then we get to the breathtaking starfield.
The "sky" is deeper than the bluest Lapis on a Russian Icon. It shows the abyssal gulf of space and is such a wonderful piece of evidence that we live on a planet.
A superb piece of work. You have seen from the top of this world into infinity.
