Description

The work of life and wind in the Patagonian pampa, near Torres del Paine. One thing that amazed me during my trip to Patagonia was these wide landscape with no or few human presence for miles...
The evening when I took this picture was particularly quiet and peacefull. This image depict the idea I had of patagonia.

Torres del Paine, Patagonia, Chili.

First off, this work is absolutely stunning and beautiful!
So what I find the most impact-full about this piece is the composition. When I first notice when I look at the photo are the beautiful highlights on the bushes in the foreground. From there I am lead to the small trail. That trail leading me to the mountain line and beautiful sky.
The color is also extremely well balanced. The lower third of the photo consists of a great deal of contrast and color. The middle third does not contain much color or contrast. Finally the top third contains a great deal of color. This pattern creates a great balance allowing you to look at the whole image and not just one part. The warm colors, of the sky, mirror those in the foreground. creating yet another nice balance.
There's not much else about this photograph I can say. I must say this is the first critique I've written so hopefully it's not too dull or 'incorrect'. But I have to say my favorite part of this photo is the depth of the bushes in the foreground and the sharp colors of the mountain range contrasting with subtle gradients of the sky.
